Christopher C. Horner is an attorney in Washington, DC, and a Senior Fellow for the Competitive Enterprise Institute and for the Energy and Environmental Legal Institute. He frequently appears on television commenting on climate change. He also has a history of harassing climate scientists, often calling them “communists” or frauds. He has repeatedly denied climate change, and has written several books denying climate change (Power Grab, Red Hot Lies, and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming).
After Alpha Natural Resources, a major coal corporation, went bankrupt, it was revealed that the corporation was funding Horner. Horner has spoken at the Heartland Institute’s Fourth, Sixth, and Seventh International Conferences On Climate Change, a nonprofit whose donors include ExxonMobil and Koch Industries family foundations.
“Given that the atmosphere inarguably shows no appreciable warming in the 25-year history of satellite and radiosonde measurements (initiated in response to the cooling panic), to assert that runaway global warming is as real as President Bush’s re-election is an absurd proposition.”
